To all participants,
We have come together here in Trieste from many nations but with one common goal.  That is to improve the effectiveness and safety of medical imaging procedures in our individual countries when we return.  The medical physicist is an important part of that process because we have the knowledge of the imaging process, both the necessary image quality with a managed radiation dose to the patient.  Quality control applied to the equipment is important but it is "the human factor", the knowledge of the medical personnel conducting the procedures that has the greatest effect on quality and safety.  You and I can continue to work together with our Collaborative Teaching to produce more knowledgeable medical imaging professionals in al of our countries.  The links to many resources that you can use in your teaching and consultations are on this webpage.
